The Merch Troop patch foundry

A custom patch bar stitched from your artwork.

Send us your logo, your mascot, your motto, your inside joke. We turn them into a collection of chenille, woven, embroidered, and leather patches, build a mix-and-match wall in your colors, and press every pick onto hats, totes, and jackets while your guests watch.

Run end-to-end by Merch Troop: artwork redraws, patch production, blank sourcing, staffed presses, and a wall guests photograph before they reach the table.

From file to foundry

How your artwork becomes a patch wall.

Most of the work happens before doors open. That is the difference between a custom patch bar and a table of leftover stock designs.

01

Art intake

Vector files are ideal; a phone photo of a sketch works too. Artists redraw each design patch-ready.

02

The patch run

Your collection is produced two to three weeks ahead — chenille, woven, leather — with photo proofs before stitching.

03

The wall

Patches go up on a gridded mix-and-match wall styled to your event. It doubles as the photo backdrop all night.

04

Press and wear

The crew seats each pick with a commercial press — about a minute per placement — and hands back a finished piece.

Why go custom

Stock patches fill a table. Custom patches tell your story.

Your brand, not clip art

Every design on the wall came from you: department badges, tour dates, product names, the all-hands joke. Guests recognize themselves in it — that is why they line up.

Brand patches

Mix-and-match by design

Collections come in tiers — hero patches, supporting marks, small fillers — so every hat or tote leaves the table a different combination.

The wall system

Keepsake, not landfill

A patched Richardson 112 or canvas tote gets worn for years. Things people choose do not end up in the hotel trash can.

Merch that survives

One crew, whole program

Artwork, patch production, blanks, presses, staffing, teardown — you approve a proof and show up to a finished station.

Quick answers

What planners ask before booking.

What makes a patch bar a custom patch bar?

The patches themselves. Instead of a bin of generic designs, Merch Troop produces a patch collection from your own artwork — logos, mascots, dates, inside jokes — before the event, then applies them live. Guests browse a wall that only exists for your event.

How far ahead do custom patches need to be ordered?

Plan on two to three weeks for a custom patch run, plus a few days for artwork redraws and a photo proof. Rush windows are sometimes possible; send your date and the crew will confirm what is realistic.

Does the patch bar travel outside Southern California?

Yes. Merch Troop is based in Orange County and staffs patch bars across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas, with nationwide programs available when the timeline allows for shipping patches and equipment ahead.
